The Annual General Meeting of Boyle Municipal District Council took place on Friday 18^th May 2018 immediately after the May meeting (which commenced at 12.30 p m)  and was held  in Áras an Chontae, Carrick-on-Shannon in order to facilitate a joint meeting of Boyle and Carrick MDs arranged for 2.30 pm.

Cllr Valerie Byrne thanked the elected members and staff of RCC for support and co-operation during her term as Cathaoirleach. She expressed her appreciation for the experience of being Cathaoirleach.

She then invited proposals for election of Cathaoirleach and Leas Cathaoirleach.

Cllr Michael Mulligan

was proposed by Cllr Valerie Byrne

and Seconded by Cllr Rachel Doherty

This was agreed.

Cllr Michael Mulligan was elected Cathaoirleach

On the Proposal of Cllr John Cummins      

             Seconded by Cllr Rachel Doherty

Cllr Joe Murphy waselected Leas Cathaoirleach.

Cllr Michael Mulligan thanked his proposers and said it was his honour to serve as Cathaoirleach for the first time since his election as a Councillor in Roscommon. He assured members that he would be an accommodating Cathaoirleach and continue in the co-operative spirit that Boyle Councillors work in to insure the best outcome for constituents.

Cllr Joe Murphy thanked his proposers for electing him Leas- Cathaoirleach.

Pat Murtagh thanked the outgoing Cathaoirleach Cllr Valerie Byrne and wished Cllr Michael Mulligan well in his new role as Cathaoirleach and Cllr Joe Murphy in his role as Leas-Cathaoirleach.

Cllr Rachel Doherty congratulated Cllr Byrne on her efficiency and fairness in her term as Cathaoirleach and wished Cllr Mulligan and Cllr Murphy well in their roles for the next year. This was unanimously supported.

·         15^th March, 2019

·         17^th May, 2019 (including AGM)
