SECONDED by Cllr. Creaton

It was AGREED to write to the Minister for Communications Mr. Richard Bruton T.D to bring the process under the Broadcasting Act 2009 to designate all Gaelic Games as being Free to Air given their special resonance and distinct cultural significance and importance for the people of Ireland.  Currently, only the Hurling and Football All-Ireland Final are designated as Free to Air. The letter should also be circulated to the President of the GAA, Mr. John Horan and the Director General, Mr. Tom Ryan and the Roscommon County Board.
