It was AGREED that Roscommon County Council write to the Minister for Trade and Employment to introduce financial incentives for companies who are prepared to employ apprentices.
Cllr. Shanagher advised that the Board of the GRETB are facilitating a new stream of apprenticeships and also encouraging female apprentices. On Wednesday next in Áras an Chontae there will be an evening showcasing apprenticeships available while recognising the importance of completing the Leaving Certificate first.
