The Chief Executive informed the members that he had been approached by members of the Roscommon Municipal District regarding the ongoing issue of the continued closure of the Fire Station in Castlerea. He said that he is fully committed to reopening the Fire Station and it will open by the end of this year.

The statement was welcomed by Cllrs. Fitzmaurice, Dineen, Creaton, Connolly, Leyden and Shanagher.
