The Director of Services, Ms. Majella Hunt presented the list of Tidy Towns and Amenity Grants recipients for 2019 to the members for approval. There were a total of €60,000allocated to 87 applications including 16 new applicants with priority given to the Tidy Towns, Development Associations and local Sub Aqua clubs. 

The members welcomed the allocations and fair administration of the scheme. They agreed that the value to the county of the work carried out by the volunteers of the groups is incalculable. There was concern expressed that the Athlone MD appeared to have received only 25% of the total allocation.
