Election of Cathaoirleach Minutes: Councillor Tom Crosby opened the meeting and welcomed everyone to the Annual General Meeting of Boyle Municipal District. As out-going Chair, Councillor Tom Crosby wished to thanks members for their support during the last year and also the staff of the Municipal District. He stated that he hoped that the Ballaghaderreen Public Realm mediation would have a successful outcome and looked forward to the commencement of the Strokestown Public Realm Project, the continuation of the N5 works, etc. He thanked the Media for their fair coverage and for giving members a fair hearing.
Councillor Tom Crosby sought nominations for the position of Cathaoirleach of Boyle Municipal District for the forthcoming year.
It was PROPOSED by Councillor Liam Callaghan SECONDED by Councillor Michéal Frain That Councillor Sean Moylan be elected Cathaoirleach of the Boyle Municipal District
Councillor Tom Crosby sought further nominations for the position of Cathaoirleach
There were no further nominations for Cathaoirleach of the Boyle Municipal District.
As there were no further nominations, Councillor Sean Moylan was duly elected as Cathaoirleach of Boyle Municipal District.
Councillor Sean Moylan thanked his proposer and seconder. Councillor Moylan said that it was an honour to be elected and he looked forward to working with fellow elected members in a fair and equitable manner. He stated that his plan for the next year included: · Road safety infrastructure enhancement · N5 · Upgrade of N61 · Street Cleaning · Forgotten graveyards · Primary care unit in Ballaghaderreen · Child Care for Boyle · Promote the growth of North Roscommon County Council
He asked members to remember those who have passed recently, Tom Callaghan, father of Councillor Liam Callaghan and former Cathaoirleach of Roscommon Co. Council, Councillor Tony Waldron, Councillor John Naughton, and Nicola Murphy, wife of former Councillor Joe Murphy.
Members supported Councillor Sean Moylan in thanking the outgoing Cathaoirleach, Councillor Tom Crosby for the excellent manner in which he conducted his tenure, for his guidance, leadership and advice
All Members congratulated Councillor Sean Moylan on his election as Cathaoirleach of Boyle Municipal District for the coming year.

Election of Leas-Cathaoirleach Minutes: Councillor Tom Crosby sought nominations for the position of Leas-Cathaoirleach for the Boyle Municipal District for the forthcoming year.
It was PROPOSED by Councillor Tom Crosby SECONDED by Councillor Liam Callaghan That Councillor Michéal Frain be elected as Leas-Cathaoirleach of Boyle Municipal District.
Councillor Sean Moylan declared Councillor Michéal Frain as Leas-Cathaoirleach of the Boyle Municipal District for the coming year.
Councillor Michéal Frain thanked his proposer and seconder for the position of Leas-Cathaoirleach. He stated he was looking forward to the year ahead and to working with the members and the executive.
Members congratulated Councillors Moylan & Frain on their election as Cathaoirleach and Leas-Cathaoirleach respectively for the coming year and stated that they will all will work together for the benefit of the Boyle Municipal District.

Fix Dates for 2025-2026 Minutes: The dates for meetings for the coming year were proposed as follows:
All meetings will be held at 2.30pm.
It was PROPOSED by Councillor Tom Crosby SECONDED by Councillor Leah Cull That the proposed dates for meetings for the coming year be agreed.
All members agreed.
Mr. Ivor Kilcline thanked the outgoing Cathaoirleach, Councillor Tom Crosby, for his support in the last year. He also thanked Mr. Greg O’Donnell, Acting Director of Services and welcomed Mr. Sean Mullarky Director of Services Boyle MD. He stated that he looked forward to working with the new Cathaoirleach, Councillor Sean Moylan in the coming year.
