Cllr Crosby welcomed all to the Annual General Meeting of Boyle Municipal District. He thanked the members for their co-operation and assistance during his tenure as Cathaoirleach and commended the projects undertaken by the Council during the course of the year. He commended all the Council staff for their support and assistance throughout his term of office.

Cllr Cummins complimented Cllr Crosby on the dignified and fair manner in which he had carried out his duties as Cathaoirleach over the past year. All of the elected members complimented Cllr Crosby on his work over the past year.

Cllr. Crosby then invited proposals for the position of Cathaoirleach of the Boyle MD.

 It was PROPOSED by Councillor J. Murphy

SECONDED by Councillor T Crosby

 That Councillor John Cummins would be elected Cathaoirleach of the Boyle   Municipal District.

 As there were no other proposals from the floor it was declared that Councillor Cummins be elected Cathaoirleach of the Boyle Municipal District.

 Councillor Cummins thanked his proposer and seconder and stated that he looked forward to working with his fellow elected members to progress the Boyle Municipal Area.

 All of the elected members congratulated Councillor Cummins on his election as Cathaoireach of Boyle Municipal District for the coming year.

 SECONDED by Councillor Murphy

 That Councillor Callaghan would be elected Leas-Cathaoirleach of Boyle Municipal District. As there were no other proposals from the floor, the Cathaoirleach declared Councillor Callaghan to be elected as Leas-Cathaoirleach.

Members congratulated Councillor Cummins and Callaghan on their election as Cathaoirleach and LeasCathaoirleach for the coming year.

Mr. Martin Curley, Acting Director of Services, on behalf of Mr. Shane Tiernan, Director of Services thanked the outgoing Cathaoirleach for his fair and balanced approach during his tenure in the chair
