The development of Roscommon’s tourism potential and the promotion of  Roscommon as a tourism destination will be one of her main policies during her tenure.  Roscommon must be promoted at every opportunity and insist that Irelands Lakelands Strategy, that would include county Roscommon, is developed and implemented as soon as possible.  In the meantime, we continue to work to implement the Roscommon Tourism Strategy and work with and support communities with their festivals and events and engage with initiatives such as the’ New Ireland Way’.
